Step into the mystical world of ancient Celtic (and pre-Celtic) celebrations with our exploration of Samhain (said like sow-when), the festival that marks the end of the harvest season and the beginning of winter. Rooted in ancient culture and celebrated in MANY cultures around the world, but just calling it different names. Samhain, which means "summer's end," holds a deep significance in connection to the organic Divine GodSource and Earth Energies that were once held very sacred to all of those who lived close to the earth caring for the Living Natural World(humans that lived harmoniously have often been called pagans and now called indigenous)...

Samhain isn't rooted in any religion nor is it what has been called 'halloween' -- it's not Wiccan, New Age, or anything like this, rather it's far more ancient, tapping into beautiful and sacred energies.

For those in the Northern Hemisphere, we get to harness the powerfully transformative energies of Samhain; a time to empower the Wisdom of yourSelf to transform in connection to our organic Earth Mother, the aspects of the innate Earth rhythms(and so much more).

As the Northern hemisphere moves INTO THE DARK, the energies around Samhain begin to come alive. And, simultaneously in the Southern Hemisphere, it is the energy of coming INTO THE LIGHT. ☀️

For those of us in the northern region, where about 88% of the entire world’s population resides, the days and coming months generally will grow colder. Or, at the very least, will change quickly out of “more heat” for Samhain means summer's end October 31st into November 1st is when it's celebrated (which is a different time in the southern region).

As the energies of Samhain begin, it's the final harvesting which is about stocking up for the Winter to come. ❄️

In this time of growing darkness, the days become short and evenings fade quickly into night. The last leaves will fall, to rustle underfoot and dance in the first strong winds that herald the winter.

As with all things, the year, and indeed all of ORGANIC life, begins with darkness and stillness— the womb of creation.
